Memories Of A Seabee Welder

Decades after serving as a Navy Seabee Welder, Welding on bridges would trigger memories back to 1969 Danang. This memoir fucuses on the light side of the Vietnam experiences remembering the unbreakable brotherhood of the guys I worked and lived with.

Fifty years later, faded memories are anchored by letters sent home to family - kept in a box in an upstairs room - woven throughout the text and matched with personal photographs. Song titles introduce many chapters, ultimately providing the inspiration for the book's title and our in-country anthem. We Gott'a Get Out Of This Place, If It's The Last Thing We Ever Do.
